MEET
TOM ROONEY.
A family name built on trust. A local business built on personal service.

BUILT ON
TRUST.
For Tom Rooney, learning the trades started early. As a child, he accompanied his father Mike on service calls around Jackson, helping with the work and learning the importance of showing up for people.
When Tom lost his father at age 20, he discovered that customers were still calling Mike's old work phone. Those calls made one thing clear: the trust his father had earned, and the Rooney name itself, meant something to the community.
Tom decided to carry that reputation forward. He started his own sewer service business, shifted his studies toward business, and stayed rooted in Jackson.
A CAREER THAT
EVOLVED.
Learning from Dad
Tom grew up alongside his father on real jobs around Jackson. Those early experiences shaped his approach to dependable, hands-on work.
Building his own name
He founded Tom Rooney Sewer Service and later operated Rooney's Handyman and Hauling Service, developing a reputation for practical help and personal attention.
Focused on renovations
After selling his sewer operation in 2018, Tom moved toward renovation projects, including kitchens, siding, gutters, and the everyday improvements homeowners need.
PEOPLE
COME FIRST.
Tom's ties to Jackson go back generations. In his Experience Jackson interview, he talked about the community values that guide his work: treating people well, being helpful, and following through. He also spoke about his involvement with the Jackson College Alumni Board and Rotary.
Today, Rooney's Renovations Plus Services brings that same person-to-person approach to homeowners throughout Jackson, Lansing, Ann Arbor, and Chelsea.
